I first met Dave Kaspersin in 1982
when I went to Dynamic Recording Studio
to record a song I wrote as a Christmas
present for my then girlfriend (now wife)
Ellieen. Since then, Dave and I have been
good friends. After a CHANCE meeting with
my sister Jackie, he also became my
brother-in-law. Dave has always been there
with good advice, some criticism, and good sound
direction that could only enhance my career.
Music is a crazy business to be in and with
determination and a sense of humor you can almost survive.
Dave and I have been friends a long time and through
the years we've managed to laugh a lot and keep our heads
above water without getting into too much trouble
(Dave just blames me for that anyway).
I've been playing music for 25 years - meeting a lot
of people and going to many places, and some of the
selections on this recording are because of this.
Some songs are from other artists -they have special
meaning to me, or just reflect my "Island" style, and
"have fun while you can" attitude. Sincere thanks go
to everyone who participated on this album -
we've had a great time recording and performing together,
and there are many good memories here.
So, sit back, have a listen, and I hope you enjoy
"The Dynamic Years".
